Pesahim 38 A. Maaser Sheni R. Meir – holy property -> patur from hallah ng for matza nor etrog Sages – private property -> liable in hallah ok for matza and etrog לחם לחם or במדבר טו, כ-כב (כ) רֵאשִׁית֙ עֲרִסֹ֣תֵכֶ֔ם חַלָּ֖ה תָּרִ֣ימוּ תְרוּמָ֑ה כִּתְרוּמַ֣ת גֹּ֔רֶן כֵּ֖ן תָּרִ֥ימוּ אֹתָֽהּ: (כא) מֵרֵאשִׁית֙ עֲרִסֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם תִּתְּנ֥וּ לַייָ֖ תְּרוּמָ֑ה לְדֹרֹ֖תֵיכֶֽם: ס B. Maaser Sheni + Halah ng – cannot be eaten everywhere ok – “since if” principle C. Halah purchased w/ Maaer Sheni money acc/ to R. Yehudah ng – need to burn it ok – two “since if” principles Rava – all ok D. Holy loaves ng – why? Must be guarded as matza Must have potential to be eaten for 7 days לחם עוני – in mourning and not in joy Cannot be eaten everywhere Ok if for public sale – why?
